Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems (マーヴルスーパーヒーローズ ウォーオブザジェム?) is the title of a 2D action platformer video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System based on the events of Marvel Comics' series, Infinity Gauntlet.
Adam Warlock calls upon Earth's greatest super heroes to seek out the Infinity Gems before they fall into the wrong hands. In a series, the game is considered a spiritual sequel to X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse. This game is not related in any way to the arcade game Marvel Super Heroes, despite the similar premise and the fact that Capcom published and developed both games – although the graphics of some player characters and bosses are based on their appearances in the arcade titles.
The cover illustration for this video game was done by artist Glenn Fabry.

Famous quotes containing the words marvel, war and/or gems:
“For man, the vast marvel is to be alive. For man, as for flower and beast and bird, the supreme triumph is to be most vividly, most perfectly alive. Whatever the unborn may know, they cannot know the beauty, the marvel of being alive in the flesh. The dead may look after the afterwards. But the magnificent here and now of life in the flesh is ours, and ours alone, and ours only for a time.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
“In the present civil war it is quite possible that Gods purpose is something different from the purpose of either party.”
—Abraham Lincoln (18091865)
“Rich and rare were the gems she wore,
And a bright gold ring on her hand she bore.”
—Thomas Moore (17791852)
