This is a list of Canadian off-road racers.
- Dave Sherret The first of the Canadian racers to go away from VW power and in his own backyard garage built the first Datsun powered buggy to compete and win in the CORRA series
- (March 1977 issue of Dune Buggies and Hot VW Magazine)
- Doug Sutton: Founder of CORRA (Canadian Off Road Racers Association). The first CORRA sanctioned event was held at Swiss Chalet Park in Markham (just outside Toronto, Ontario) and was the first course created solely for off-road racing in Canada. Sutton was the first Canadian to race the Baja 1000 (known then as the Mexican 1000) in 1968 (started car # 54 just ahead of "big OLY" driven by Parnelli Jones).
- John Warden: One of the first drivers entered in the July 4th event at Swiss Chalet Park and went on to race cars in Canadian and USA events such as "The Bonnie and Clyde 400" in Nevada and the Mint 400.
Famous quotes containing the words list of, list and/or canadian:
“Do your children view themselves as successes or failures? Are they being encouraged to be inquisitive or passive? Are they afraid to challenge authority and to question assumptions? Do they feel comfortable adapting to change? Are they easily discouraged if they cannot arrive at a solution to a problem? The answers to those questions will give you a better appraisal of their education than any list of courses, grades, or test scores.”
—Lawrence Kutner (20th century)
“Lovers, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
She a window flower,
And he a winter breeze.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Were definite in Nova Scotiabout things like ships ... and fish, the best in the world.”
