Lan Xang

The Lao kingdom of Lan Xang Hom Khao (Lao: ລ້ານຊ້າງ lâansâang - ລ້ານ "million" + ຊ້າງ "elephant"+ "Under the White Parasol"; Pali: शिसत्तनखनहुत्, Sisattanakhanahut; Burmese: လင်းဇင်း, ; Vietnamese: Vạn Tượng) was established in 1354 by Fa Ngum.
