History Of Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is the largest city of the western Indian state of Gujarat. It is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati. The city has had a rich history showing the influences of a mixture of several different cultures over time. It has been home to several great leaders of India including Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel during the Indian independence movement. Ahmedabad is also the cultural and financial capital (and the former political capital) of Gujarat state and is the seventh largest city of India.
