Grand Bell Awards
The Grand Bell Awards (Korean: 대종상 영화제, daejongsang yeonghwajae) is an awards ceremony presented annually by The Motion Pictures Association of Korea for excellence in film in South Korea.
Though the festival has often been marred by controversy, stemming from bribery and political pressure, the Grand Bell Awards retain prestige as the oldest continuous film awards held in South Korea, and have been called the Korean equivalent of the American Academy Awards
