Casi Ángeles

Casi Ángeles ("Almost Angels", officially translated) is an Argentinian series targeted at teenagers, which became the most popular teenage TV series in the country, as well as in many others. It started airing on 21 March 2007 to 29 November 2010 on Telefe. Casi Ángeles was created by Cris Morena, and produced by Cris Morena Group and RGB Entertainment. After a great success of the first, the second and the third season, Cris Morena announced the fourth season would be filmed. In 2008 and 2009 the series won a Martín Fierro Award for Best Series for Children or Youth.

It developed different themes among all 4 seasons, but mainly child abuse, adolescence and its issues, time travels, special powers, corrption and resistance. It gave special importance also to love, friendship, hope and peaceful resistance. Casi Ángeles starred Emilia Attias, Nicolás Vázquez, Mariano Torre and in the season 4 the starred is the group Teen Angels. In 2008 Vázquez left the series due to personal reasons, and the third season included a new character, portrayed by Mariano Torre. For the 4th season, both Emilia Attias and Mariano Torre quit the show, therefore transforming all five Teen Angels into full protaginists.

The show also spawned a popular musical group Teen Angels, consisting of Espósito, Suárez, Lanzani, Riera and Dalmau. In 2011 Suárez left the band and was replaced by Rocío Igarzábal. The band nowadays continues touring around the world, having booked shows in Uruguay, Israel, Spain and many other countries as a part of "TeenAngels World Tour 2011".
