Swoop returned in Transformers Animated along with Grimlock and Snarl (actually a homage to Slag).
In December 2007 drawings were leaked on the internet of Swoop's robot appearance in the Animated television series. Swoop and Snarl are not able to talk in the series, however in the Japanese dub, he merely utters his own name repetitively.
