Other Games Inspired By Star Wars
The classic science fiction role-playing game Traveller was released in the summer of 1977, very close to the release of the original Star Wars movie. As a consequence, some of the original designers have remarked that for them the game and the movie were very similar, despite the fact that Traveller is generally considered to have a more Golden Age Sci-Fi feel to it. Traveller received legal copyright threats due to the fact that Traveller Supplement 4: Citizens of the Imperium included game statistics for Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in it as sample characters.
