Sequel
A sequel to the game is a possibility if the game performs well enough, and the developer, BioWare, has "a precise idea" for how the sequel should be made; another indication of a potential sequel is the nature of game's ending, which ends on a "Cliffhanger" and leaves the player with the message "THE END?" Producer Dorian Kieken later confirmed that the sequel to the game was already being written, but the title is still unknown. Since EA acquired BioWare, it is unclear if the sequel is still in the works. In 2013, Nintendo and Sega signed a worldwide partenership for three Sonic games (Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and Sonic Lost World). Fans speculate that the third game is the sequel to Sonic Chronicles.
