Saudi Investment Bank Tower (also known as Al-Falak Tower) is a supertall skyscraper located in the city of Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It is located on King Abdul Aziz Road in the growing business district of Tahila in Khobar. It is the second tallest building in Khobar, after Hugayat Tower. It is approximately 88 m (289 ft) high, and contains 18 floors including the basement levels. It was constructed in 1998, and the total cost of the project was US$75 million. As there is no skyscraper around it, it creates a silhouetted skyline in the evening.
Famous quotes containing the words investment, bank and/or tower:
“The only thing that was dispensed free to the old New Bedford whalemen was a Bible. A well-known owner of one of that citys whaling fleets once described the Bible as the best cheap investment a shipowner could make.”
—For the State of Massachusetts, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“I have passed down the river before sunrise on a summer morning, between fields of lilies still shut in sleep; and when, at length, the flakes of sunlight from over the bank fell on the surface of the water, whole fields of white blossoms seemed to flash open before me, as I floated along, like the unfolding of a banner, so sensible is this flower to the influence of the suns rays.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Out in Hollywood, where the streets are paved with Goldwyn, the word sophisticate means, very simply, obscene. A sophisticated story is a dirty story. Some of that meaning was wafted eastward and got itself mixed up into the present definition. So that a sophisticate means: one who dwells in a tower made of a DuPont substitute for ivory and holds a glass of flat champagne in one hand and an album of dirty post cards in the other.”
—Dorothy Parker (18931967)
