Magic: The Gathering Rules

Magic: The Gathering is a playing and collectible card game with extremely detailed and, at times, complex rules. A very good knowledge of the game's rules is absolutely necessary to play the game. The most important rule is that if the text on a card contradicts a game rule, the card text always takes precedence, making it an easy game to play.

Famous quotes containing the words gathering and/or rules:

    A man is a method, a progressive arrangement; a selecting principle, gathering his like to him; wherever he goes.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

    Those rules of old discovered, not devised,
    Are Nature sill, but Nature methodized;
    Nature, like liberty, is but restrained
    By the same laws which first herself ordained.
    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)
