Television Series
In August 2009, it was announced that Heathers was to be adapted for television. Mark Rizzo has been hired to write the series, and Jenny Bicks will co-produce with Lakeshore Entertainment. It is described as a modernized version of the original story, and all characters from the film were expected to be scripted into the adaptation.
On September 12, 2012 it was announced that the television network Bravo will be developing a Heathers reboot in the medium of a television series. Heathers picks up 20 years later when Veronica returns home to Sherwood, Ohio with her teenage daughter, who must contend with the next generation of mean girls, all named "Ashley". They are all the daughters of the surviving 2 Heathers. Neither Winona Ryder or Christian Slater are attached to the project.

Famous quotes containing the words television and/or series:
“They [parents] can help the children work out schedules for homework, play, and television that minimize the conflicts involved in what to do first. They can offer moral support and encouragement to persist, to try again, to struggle for understanding and mastery. And they can share a childs pleasure in mastery and accomplishment. But they must not do the job for the children.”
—Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)
“In the order of literature, as in others, there is no act that is not the coronation of an infinite series of causes and the source of an infinite series of effects.”
—Jorge Luis Borges (18991986)
