Find His Swing
- When a batter has experienced a slump, he may take extra practice or instruction to "find his swing." Perhaps he has a hitch in his swing, or his batting stance has changed. Having "lost his swing," now he must "find it." This phrase is also used in golf.

Famous quotes containing the words find and/or swing:
“Men are not to be told anything they might find too painful; the secret depths of human nature, the sordid physicalities, might overwhelm or damage them. For instance, men often faint at the sight of their own blood, to which they are not accustomed. For this reason you should never stand behind one in the line at the Red Cross donor clinic.”
—Margaret Atwood (b. 1939)
“Neither moral relations nor the moral law can swing in vacuo. Their only habitat can be a mind which feels them; and no world composed of merely physical facts can possibly be a world to which ethical propositions apply.”
—William James (18421910)
