Famous quotes containing the word exist:

Death, the most dreaded of all evils, is therefore of no concern to us; for while we exist death is not present, and when death is present we no longer exist.
    Epicurus (c. 341–271 B.C.)

It is simply absurd that, with our modern science, painless childbirth does not exist as a matter of course.... I tremble with indignation when I think of ... the unspeakable egotism and blindness of men of science who permit such atrocities when they can be remedied.
    Isadora Duncan (1878–1927)

Great passions, my dear, don’t exist: they’re liars’ fantasies. What do exist are little loves that may last for a short or a longer while.
    Anna Magnani (1918–1973)
