Started his career as The Big "O" in 1967 in Florida, Detroit, and Central Areas Wrestling mostly with a mask on at that time. Also wrestled in Florida in '71 as Beautiful Brutus managed by The Great Malenko aka Boris Malenko would also feud with him after firing him on TV. Would defeat Malenko for the Brass Knuckles title. They would have bloody feuds all over Florida with him too. He would wrestle all over the world and have a brief stay in the World Wide Wrestling Federation but would achieve success mostly in Florida defeating Dusty Rhodes for the Florida TV title and Don Muraco for the Florida Heavyweight Championship in 1980. Feuded with Barry Windham, Dory Funk Jr. and Terry Funk as well in Florida as well.
