Zanpakutō Spirits
The spiritual embodiment of a Soul Reaper's Zanpakutō, usually appearing before its owner. However, during the Zanpakutō Rebellion and Beast Swords arc, the Zanpakutō spirits were given a true presence by the power of the unique Zanpakutō Muramasa. However, by the end the the Beast Swords arc, weeks after his death, Muramasa's power waned and Zanpakutō spirits return to their original states.
