Border Girl

Border Girl is the first English-language album and the sixth solo studio album of the Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. The album was released in North America by Universal Records on June 18, 2002. Border Girl includes Rubio's most successful single in English, "Don't Say Goodbye", which opened doors for Rubio in new markets such as the United Kingdom. The next singles, "The One You Love", "Casanova", and "I'll Be Right Here (Sexual Lover)" failed to gain airplay due to the medium promotion of the album.

With songs that fused rock, pop, and dance with traditional Mexican rhythms, Border Girl shows all of the influences Paulina has received throughout her life; R&B, Flamenco guitars, mariachi and the passion of a Latin heart which touched a global audience.

Famous quotes containing the words border and/or girl:

Swift while the woof is whole,
    turn now my spirit, swift,
    and tear the pattern there,
    the flowers so deftly wrought,
    the border of sea-blue,
    the sea-blue coast of home.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)

The bed is ravaged by such
    sweet sights. The girl is.
The girl drifts up out of
    her nightgown and its color.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
