Blue Line (Los Angeles Metro)
The Blue Line is a light rail line running north-south route between Long Beach and downtown Los Angeles passing through Downtown LA, South Los Angeles, Watts, Willowbrook, Compton, and Long Beach in Los Angeles County; it is one of five lines in the Metro Rail System. Opened in 1990, it is the oldest and second busiest line in the system with an estimated 26.26 million boardings per year. The proposed Regional Connector would link it to Union Station. It is operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The Blue Line passes near to the cities of Vernon, Huntington Park, Lynwood, and Carson. The famous Watts Towers can be seen from the train near 103rd Street station.
