Famous quotes containing the words teen, hunger, force, movie and/or film:

Children ... after a certain age do not welcome parental advice. Occasionally, they may listen to another adult, which is why perhaps people should switch children with their neighbors and friends for a while in the teen years!
    Marian Wright Edelman (20th century)

“Learn what is true, in order to do what is right,” is the summing up of the whole duty of man, for all who are unable to satisfy their mental hunger with the east wind of authority.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)

There is ... but one response possible from us: Force, Force to the uttermost, Force without stint or limit, the righteous and triumphant Force which shall make Right the law of the world and cast every selfish dominion down in the dust.
    Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924)

Turning one’s novel into a movie script is rather like making a series of sketches for a painting that has long ago been finished and framed.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)

Is America a land of God where saints abide for ever? Where golden fields spread fair and broad, where flows the crystal river? Certainly not flush with saints, and a good thing, too, for the saints sent buzzing into man’s ken now are but poor- mouthed ecclesiastical film stars and cliché-shouting publicity agents.
Their little knowledge bringing them nearer to their ignorance,
Ignorance bringing them nearer to death,
But nearness to death no nearer to God.
    Sean O’Casey (1884–1964)
