Location
Maluri station is located close to Jalan Cheras, close to Kerayong River, with access points towards the road and the eastern tip of Taman Miharja (Miharja Estate). As implied by name, Maluri station is intended to serve the locality of Taman Maluri to the northest, as well as surrounding housing estates, including Taman Pertama (First Estate) and Taman Kobena (Kobena Estate) to the southeast and a portion of Taman Miharja to the west. Taman Miharja is also partially served by the neighbouring Miharja station further southwest.
Maluri station's adjoining tracks reuse the now defunct Federated Malay States Railway and Malayan Railway (KTM) route between Kuala Lumpur, Ampang and Salak South.
