List of Dreams - Notable Dreams - Twilight

Stephenie Meyer created the phenomenon Twilight after encountering the characters in a dream: "I woke up (on that June 2) from a very vivid dream. In my dream, two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods. One of these people was just your average girl. The other person was fantastically beautiful, sparkly, and a vampire. They were discussing the difficulties inherent in the facts that A) they were falling in love with each other while B) the vampire was particularly attracted to the scent of her blood, and was having a difficult time restraining himself from killing her immediately."

Famous quotes containing the word twilight:

The twilight is long fingers and black hair.
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

Be near me when I fade away,
To point the term of human strife,
And on the low dark verge of life
    The twilight of eternal day.
    Alfred Tennyson (1809–1892)

The eastern light our spires touch at morning,
The light that slants upon our western doors at evening,
The twilight over stagnant pools at batflight,
Moon light and star light, owl and moth light,
    Glow-worm glowlight on a grassblade.
O Light Invisible, we worship Thee!
