Randy was named head coach of the Morristown Beard men's ice hockey team for the 2009-2010 season.
His son Alex Velischek, was entered in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, and was drafted in the 5th round by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Randy currently is the Hockey Director at Twin Oaks Ice Rink in Morristown, New Jersey.
