Provisional Administrative Entity Of South Ossetia
The Provisional Administration of South Ossetia is an administrative body that Georgia regards as the legal government of South Ossetia, even though ths administrative entity was formally abolished by the Georgian authorities in 1990, and currently the area is considered a part part of the Shida Kartli region. The Georgian government is, however, in the process of developing an autonomous status for South Ossetia and the formation of a provisional administration is part of this process.

Famous quotes containing the words entity and/or south:
“What is this world of ours? A complex entity subject to sudden changes which all indicate a tendency to destruction; a swift succession of beings which follow one another, assert themselves and disappear; a fleeting symmetry; a momentary order.”
—Denis Diderot (17131784)
“Up from the South at break of day,
Bringing to Winchester fresh dismay,
The affrighted air with a shudder bore,
Like a herald in haste, to the chieftains door,
The terrible grumble, and rumble, and roar,
Telling the battle was on once more,
And Sheridan twenty miles away.”
—Thomas Buchanan Read (18221872)
