Doc Miles, played by Dwight Yoakam, is a doctor in both Crank and Crank: High Voltage. In Crank, he helps gain a stability in Chev Chelios' health after he is given “The Beijing Cocktail”, a synthetic drug which stops the flow of adrenaline in the body, slowing the heart and eventually killing the victim. In Crank: High Voltage, Doc Miles guides Chelios through the instructions of keeping alive now that his heart has been replaced with an AbioCor (depicted as AviCor). Throughout the credits, Doc Miles performs a heart transplant on Chelios, but it eventually ends as a failure. As everyone leaves Chelios on the operation table, his eyes open.
