Relations With Other ITIL Processes
The security Management Process, as stated in the introduction, has relations with almost all other ITIL-processes. These processes are:
- IT Customer Relationship Management
- Service Level Management
- Availability Management
- Capacity Management
- IT Service Continuity Management
- Configuration Management
- Release Management
- Incident Management & Service Desk
- Problem Management
- Change Management (ITSM)
Within these processes there are a couple of activities concerning security that have to take place. These activities are done as required. The concerning process and its process manager are responsible for these activities. However, the Security Management will give indications to the concerning process on how these (security specific) activities should be structured.

Famous quotes containing the words relations with, relations and/or processes:
“If one could be friendly with women, what a pleasurethe relationship so secret and private compared with relations with men. Why not write about it truthfully?”
—Virginia Woolf (18821941)
“It is commonplace that a problem stated is well on its way to solution, for statement of the nature of a problem signifies that the underlying quality is being transformed into determinate distinctions of terms and relations or has become an object of articulate thought.”
—John Dewey (18591952)
“The vast results obtained by Science are won by no mystical faculties, by no mental processes other than those which are practiced by every one of us, in the humblest and meanest affairs of life. A detective policeman discovers a burglar from the marks made by his shoe, by a mental process identical with that by which Cuvier restored the extinct animals of Montmartre from fragments of their bones.”
—Thomas Henry Huxley (182595)
