Ironwood Ridge High School - Fight Song

Fight Song

The IRHS Fight Song was re-written at the end of the 2006-2007 school year by students in the IRHS Marching Band. It follows the tune as the Michigan State University fight song. The lyrics are:

From the peaks of the Catalinas,
Is a team that's known to all,
It's desire is for winning,
And the Nighthawks win them all.
(Hawks, Hawks, Hawks!)
Every time we face our rivals,
We will stand up and show our might!
Fight for the trinity of colors,
Blue, Silver and White!
We will fight and we will win;
Witness the Nighthawk Glory.
Unity until the end
As we go down into
His-tor-y.
Spread your wings and then take flight,
The Nighthawks of Ironwood Ridge
Go! Go! Nighthawks, Go!
Victory for Ironwood Ridge!

Famous quotes containing the words fight and/or song:

The parents who wish to lead a quiet life I would say: Tell your children that they are very naughty—much naughtier than most children; point to the young people of some acquaintances as models of perfection, and impress your own children with a deep sense of their own inferiority. You carry so many more guns than they do that they cannot fight you. This is called moral influence and it will enable you to bounce them as much as you please.
    Samuel Butler (1835–1902)

    but you are not deaf,
    you pick out
your own song from the uproar
    line by line,
    and at last throw back
    your head and sing it.
    Denise Levertov (b. 1923)
