Slang and Other Names For The Exclamation Mark
This punctuation mark is called, in the printing world, "a screamer, a gasper, a startler, or ... a dog's cock". In computer culture, the exclamation mark is called "bang", or, in the British slang known as Commonwealth Hackish, "pling"; an example of this would be, "Your password is m-zero-r-p-h-pling-n-three." Other slang names are dembanger and shout pole.
