Born Again (comics) - Live Action Film

Live Action Film

Originally, a sequel to the 2003 Daredevil film was in development, and was expected to use the "Born Again" storyline. Director Mark Steven Johnson had expressed interest in returning to direct with the "Born Again" storyline. The late Michael Clarke Duncan stated strong interest in reprising his role as the Kingpin. Johnson stated that villains Mr. Fear or The Owl are strong possibilities to appear for the sequel.

In March 2011, Variety reported that David Slade would direct a Daredevil reboot. In June 2011, it was reported that Fringe writer Brad Caleb Kane would be adapting the "Born Again" storyline for the film.

In August 2012, it was reported that Fox had turned down a pitch by director Joe Carnahan for a film based on Born Again. If a Daredevil film isn't in production by October 10, 2012 the film rights to Daredevil will revert back to Marvel. It is unknown if Marvel's Daredevil reboot will feature the Born Again storyline.

Famous quotes containing the words live, action and/or film:

No doubt Jews are most obnoxious creatures. Any competent historian or psychoanalyst can bring a mass of incontrovertible evidence to prove that it would have been better for the world if the Jews had never existed. But I, as an Irishman, can, with patriotic relish, demonstrate the same of the English. Also of the Irish.... We all live in glass houses. Is it wise to throw stones at the Jews? Is it wise to throw stones at all?
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

A tragedy is a representation of an action that is whole and complete and of a certain magnitude.... A whole is what has a beginning and middle and end.
    Aristotle (384–323 B.C.)

You should look straight at a film; that’s the only way to see one. Film is not the art of scholars but of illiterates.
    Werner Herzog (b. 1942)
