Shape

With mass-produced burgers, it is not uncommon to find burgers with seemingly abnormal shapes or a bumpy perimeter. These groove-like bumps are caused by the machine that forms the patties. Famous quotes containing the word shape:

And yonder in the gymnasts’ garden thrives
The self-sown, self-begotten shape that gives
    Athenian intellect its mastery,
    Even the grey-leaved olive-tree
Miracle-bred out of the living stone....
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

We cannot and must not get rid of nor deny our characteristics. But we can give them shape and direction.
    Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749–1832)

The beauty of the internal nature cannot be so far concealed by its accidental vesture, but that the spirit of its form shall communicate itself to the very disguise and indicate the shape it hides from the manner in which it is worn. A majestic form and graceful motions will express themselves through the most barbarous and tasteless costume.
    Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822)
