Coordinates: 23°44′20″N 90°23′41″E / 23.738909°N 90.394766°E / 23.738909; 90.394766 Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (Bengali: বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is the first and only medical university in Bangladesh. It is a public university, established in 1999. The university offers MD, PhD, MS, MPhil, MDS, Diploma and FCPS Courses. The vice chancellor is Prof. Pran Gopal Datta.
