Ape-X is a super intelligent ape in the Squadron Supreme universe. The character, created by Mark Gruenwald, first appeared in Squadron Supreme #5 in January 1986. Within the context of the stories, Ape-X was a member of the Institute of Evil before joining the Squadron. She later fell into a coma.
An unrelated Ape-X, created by Karl Kesel and Ramon Bachs, appeared in Marvel Apes #1.
