Vasai

Vasai pronunciation, historically known as Bassein or Ba├žaim is a historical village north of Mumbai in the Maharashtra state of India. Now, it is a part of the Vasai-Virar city.

Vasai is famous for Vasai fort which was used by Chimaji Rao and Shivaji.

St. Gonsalo Garcia,the first saint from India was also born here in 1557 A.D.
