Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jacket Marching Band
The Thomas County Central High School Band is an award winning marching, concert, and jazz band, under the leadership of Michael Mayhall, and assistant director, Tyler Lipsey, attend every Thomas County football game, where they take part in every half-time show as well as playing in the stands. Other events are a yearly Christmas concert, spring concert, fall concert, and Marching Band Jamboree throughout the school year. In the 2007-2008 school year the Thomas County Central Marching, Concert, Jazz, and Wind Ensemble attended the Disney Music festival, taking first in multiple categories including Marching band, Jazz Band, and taking first and third in the overall event.
