List of Soul Reapers in Bleach - Soul Reaper Characters - Thirteenth Division - Rukia Kuchiki

Rukia Kuchiki (朽木 ルキア, Kuchiki Rukia?) is the adopted younger sister of Byakuya Kuchiki, who had been married to Rukia's sister Hisana. Though talented enough for a position as a seated officer, has been made ineligible by order of Byakuya Kuchiki out of concern for her safety. However, this is not revealed until after the Soul Society Arc when the Arrancar and Espada first appear. After reconciling her relationship with her brother, Rukia is eventually promoted to the rank of lieutenant in the 13th Division, a fact that is revealed during the Substitute Soul Reaper Disappearance arc. Her zanpakuto is Sode no Shirayuki, also known as the most beautiful sword in the Soul Society, and it is released with the command "dance". She is voiced by Fumiko Orikasa in the Japanese version and by Michelle Ruff in the English dub.
