Lake Mountain (Utah) - Radio Uses

Radio Uses

Lake Mountain houses radio towers for several radio stations serving the general area. KHTB 94.9 FM, a rock station, broadcasts from Lake Mountain. KKLV, formerly Country legends 107.5, now K-LOVE, also has a transmitter on the mountain. KJMY, a hot adult contemporary format radio station on 99.5 FM formerly had a translator known as K256AE, which is on 99.1 MHz from a tower on the mountain. The translator is now used as a rebroadcast of KNRS's HD-2 stream through a loophole in FCC rules. It is known as "Rock 99.1." KVFX had a translator known as K284AI-FM. K284AI was on located 104.7 MHz. In order to make way for KZNS-FM, the station signed off the air. Two Religious radio translators also call the mountain home. The first, K237FG (95.3 FM), retransmits programming from KKLV, and is licensed to Pleasant Grove, Utah. The second, K217CL (91.3 FM), carries programming from KYCC, and is licensed to Provo.

Famous quotes containing the word radio:

    Denouement to denouement, he took a personal pride in the
    certain, certain way he lived his own, private life,
    but nevertheless, they shut off his gas; nevertheless,
    the bank foreclosed; nevertheless, the landlord called;
    nevertheless, the radio broke,

    And twelve o’clock arrived just once too often,
    Kenneth Fearing (1902–1961)

    All radio is dead. Which means that these tape recordings I’m making are for the sake of future history. If any.
    Barré Lyndon (1896–1972)
