Glarner Sprinter - Schedule

As of 2006, the train frequency is every 120 minutes. The train does not run late at night. The trip from Zürich to Schwanden takes from 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 7 minutes; to Linthal, from 1 hour and 19 minutes to 1 hour and 33 minutes.

As a RegioExpress train, and in keeping with the idea behind the service, the train does not serve any stations along the west shore of the Zürichsee until Pfäffikon SZ. The train does not stop at every station until turning off the SBB main line after Ziegelbrücke. In effect, the train runs as a local service within the Canton of Glarus and provides an express service to Zürich for those communities.
