Five Banis - Audio


The section below list various Banis which are recited by devote Sikhs regularly. The most important Banis of the Sikhs are:

1. Japji Sahib, forms the beginning of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which is regarded as the perpetual Guru of the Sikhs. This Bani was compiled by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and the first of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism.

2. Jaap Sahib, forms the first part of the Dasam Granth, which is the second Holy Book of the Sikhs.

3. Tav-Prasad Savaiye is a part of Dasam Granth

4. Chaupai is also a part of Dasam Granth

5. Anand Sahib is a part of ShriGuru Granth Sahib. It was compiled by Guru Amar Das ji

6. Rehras This bani is part of Guru Granth Sahib.

7. Kirtan Sohila - This is the night prayer said by all Sikhs before sleeping. The actual name of Bani is Sohila Sahib.
