Change of School Uniform

At first when SEC was established both male and female students were allowed to come to school in shirts and trousers of any colour. In 1986 the girls' uniform was changed to shirt and skirt of any colour. In 1990 students who wanted to wear scarfs were given the opportunity to change their uniforms to scarf, long sleeved shirts, trousers and skirts. In 1998, the uniform was changed from skirts/trousers of different colours to skirts and trousers of dark blue only and white shirt or blouse.

Famous quotes containing the words change of, uniform, change and/or school:

To the sick the doctors wisely recommend a change of air and scenery.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

He may be a very nice man. But I haven’t got the time to figure that out. All I know is, he’s got a uniform and a gun and I have to relate to him that way. That’s the only way to relate to him because one of us may have to die.
    James Baldwin (1924–1987)

A child... who has learned from fairy stories to believe that what at first seemed a repulsive, threatening figure can magically change into a most helpful friend is ready to believe that a strange child whom he meets and fears may also be changed from a menace into a desirable companion.
    Bruno Bettelheim (20th century)

While most of today’s jobs do not require great intelligence, they do require greater frustration tolerance, personal discipline, organization, management, and interpersonal skills than were required two decades and more ago. These are precisely the skills that many of the young people who are staying in school today, as opposed to two decades ago, lack.
    James P. Comer (20th century)
