Brighton College

Brighton College was named England's Independent School of the Year 2011-2012 by The Sunday Times. It is a leading boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3–18, situated on the South Coast of England. The school's Head Master, Richard Cairns, was awarded the title England's Public School Headmaster of the Year 2012 by Tatler magazine. The Senior School known simply as Brighton College, caters for children aged 11 to 18, and is situated in the heart of Brighton, England. The Prep School, for children aged 8 to 13, is located immediately next to the College itself and shares many of its facilities. The Pre-Prep School, for children ages 3 to 8, has its own purpose-built site close by.

The Good Schools Guide called the school a "Happy and forward-looking town school with a wide and healthy spread of pupils and parents", also stating: "A good bet to become an even more impressive school in the future."

In September 2011 Brighton College opened Brighton College Abu Dhabi, the first in a planned chain of international schools, in partnership with Bloom Properties of Abu Dhabi. A second will open in UAE in September 2013.

In June 2011 the merger of another prep school with Brighton College was announced: Handcross Park School, an independent co-educational preparatory school in Handcross, between Crawley, Horsham and Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England.
