Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League
The Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League or ACCHL is an ACHA Division II club ice hockey league in the mid-atlantic and southeast regions of the US. The league is intended to give Universities and colleges in the Southeast an option to ice hockey without the high expenses of NCAA level hockey.
Famous quotes containing the words league, atlantic and/or coast:
“Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Forward the Light Brigade!”
—Alfred Tennyson (18091892)
“We recognize caste in dogs because we rank ourselves by the familiar dog system, a ladderlike social arrangement wherein one individual outranks all others, the next outranks all but the first, and so on down the hierarchy. But the cat system is more like a wheel, with a high-ranking cat at the hub and the others arranged around the rim, all reluctantly acknowledging the superiority of the despot but not necessarily measuring themselves against one another.”
—Elizabeth Marshall Thomas. Strong and Sensitive Cats, Atlantic Monthly (July 1994)
“Have we even so much as discovered and settled the shores? Let a man travel on foot along the coast ... and tell me if it looks like a discovered and settled country, and not rather, for the most part, like a desolate island, and No-Mans Land.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
