Ammar Eloueini

Ammar Eloueini, born 1968 in Beirut, Lebanon

Ammar Eloueini is a registered architect who established AEDS (Ammar Eloueini Digit-all Studio) in 1997, a design practice in Architecture, Product and Digital Media with offices in the United States and Europe. In 2001, Eloueini was awarded the Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes, the French Institute of Architects’ category for architects under thirty-five. AEDS design for Issey Miyake Pleats Please retail space in Berlin received from the AIA American Institute of Architects Chicago Chapter, two Design Awards: Interior Architecture and Divine Detail. Eloueini's first book was funded in part by the Graham Foundation and published by ORO Editions in 2006.

Between 1999 and 2005, Ammar Eloueini chaired the Digital Media Program, taught design studio, theory and digital fabrication at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently Eloueini is a tenured Professor at Tulane University. Eloueini has taught as a Visiting Professor at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, and Syracuse University School of Architecture.

Ammar Eloueini received the degree of Diplômé par le Gouvernement from Paris-Villemin in 1994, and graduated with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in 1996. Eloueini has participated in several symposia, including “Mixing It Up With Mies” at the Canadian Center for Architecture and the International Symposium in Electronic Art.
