Adrian Waller - Personal Life

Personal Life

Adrian Waller and his second wife, Irène, who he married in 1983, and with whom he lived in Japan and traveled Asia, have homes in Bainsville, Ontario and Hallandale Beach, Florida. Their daughters, Nathalie and Zoë, live in Geneva, Switzerland, and Toronto, Canada, respectively.

Waller's main hobby is collecting recorded examples of fine singing, most of them historic. His library of more than 20,000 recordings includes the work of the tenors Enrico Caruso, John McCormack, and Jussi Björling. It also has numerous complete operas, symphonies, and chamber works, and an eclectic assortment of jazz. Waller has an affinity for "live" recorded performances of music, and incorporated these into popular music appreciation lectures, such as Great Tenors of the 20th Century, given at McGill University in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
