Famous quotes containing the words men, wrestling and/or summer:
“There certainly men would live forever, and laugh at death and the grave.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“There are people who think that wrestling is an ignoble sport. Wrestling is not sport, it is a spectacle, and it is no more ignoble to attend a wrestled performance of suffering than a performance of the sorrows of Arnolphe or Andromaque.”
—Roland Barthes (19151980)
“Although the summer sunlight gild
Cloudy leafage of the sky,
Or wintry moonlight sink the field
In storm-scattered intricacy,
I cannot look thereon,
Responsibility so weighs me down.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
