Westminster Schools of Augusta was founded in 1972 as a private, Christian college-preparatory school located in the western section of Augusta, Georgia. The school serves 625 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. The school is divided into three age groups, Lower (Pre-K to grade five), Middle (grades six to eight), and Upper (grades nine to 12).
The school consists of two main areas on its 34 acres (140,000 m2) campus. The original buildings house grades six through 12. A new building constructed in 1999 houses grades kindergarten through five.

Famous quotes containing the word schools:
“If Jesus, or his likeness, should now visit the earth, what church of the many which now go by his name would he enter? Or, if tempted by curiosity, he should incline to look into all, which do you think would not shut the door in his face?... It seems to me ... that as one who loved peace, taught industry, equality, union, and love, one towards another, Jesus were he alive at this day, would recommend you to come out of your churches of faith, and to gather into schools of knowledge.”
