The Wakasa Line (若桜線, Wakasa-sen?) is a Japanese railway line in Tottori Prefecture operated by the third sector company Wakasa Railway (若桜鉄道, Wakasa Tetsudō?). The line runs between Kōge Station in Yazu and Wakasa Station in Wakasa. It is the only railway line operated by the Wakasa Railway. Famous quotes containing the words line and/or railway:
“Men are not to be told anything they might find too painful; the secret depths of human nature, the sordid physicalities, might overwhelm or damage them. For instance, men often faint at the sight of their own blood, to which they are not accustomed. For this reason you should never stand behind one in the line at the Red Cross donor clinic.”
—Margaret Atwood (b. 1939)
“Her personality had an architectonic quality; I think of her when I see some of the great London railway termini, especially St. Pancras, with its soot and turrets, and she overshadowed her own daughters, whom she did not understandmy mother, who liked things to be nice; my dotty aunt. But my mother had not the strength to put even some physical distance between them, let alone keep the old monster at emotional arms length.”
—Angela Carter (19401992)
