Schiavone

Schiavone (singular; plural Schiavoni) is an Italian ethnonym literally meaning "Slav" in Old Italian: originally, this term indicated origins in the Slavic lands of Dalmatia and Istria, when under the rule of the Republic of Venice. Today it is an Italian surname.
