Prisoners Education Trust is a registered charity based in Surrey, England and supports prisoners in England and Wales.

The current director is Susan Simmonds. Patrons include Lord Ramsbotham, Baroness Stern, and Lord Woolf.

Famous quotes containing the words trust and/or education:

Every journalist who is not too stupid or too full of himself to notice what is going on knows that what he does is morally indefensible. He is a kind of confidence man, preying on people’s vanity, ignorance, or loneliness, gaining their trust and betraying them without remorse.
    Janet Malcolm (b. 1934)

An acquaintance with the muses, in the education of youth, contributes not a little to soften the manners. It gives a delicate turn to the imagination, and a kind of polish to the mind in severer studies.
    Samuel Richardson (1689–1761)
