North Surrey Secondary School
North Surrey Secondary is a public high school in Surrey, British Columbia and is part of School District 36 Surrey. The current structure dates from 1994, but the site has been in use since 1949. During the 1999-2000 year, a track was constructed on property north of the main building. The school is notable for its drama and art departments, both of which have been the recipient of several awards. Several movies have been filmed at the school including Agent Cody Banks. North Surrey has also been very active in many clubs such as Reach for the Top and Model United Nations. North Surrey Secondary is feared in both clubs. In 2012, North Surrey Secondary won a bronze medal in the Reach for the Top intermediate division. The intermediate team that won the bronze medal had a dissatisfying outcome at the 2013 provincials; however, will participate unhindered in the 2014 Senior's division. North Surrey Secondary also has a high award-win percentage. They typically have at least a 50% award win rate at hotel conferences, which is outstandingly high. North Surrey has a strong group of seniors that comprise of this Model United Nations team as well as a group of strong, young members.
