1909 Murder-suicide

When the National Portrait Gallery unveiled an electronic catalogue (in-progress) of its Gallery Records, a number of sensational events from the Gallery's earlier history received publicity. For example, details of a 1909 murder-suicide in the public gallery have been revealed. A man, having shot his wife, turned the gun on himself shortly after they had been witnessed viewing portraits together.
