The following is an incomplete, chronological list of people from Turkey murdered by assassins mainly on political and religious grounds. Many were critical public servants and intellectuals assassinated by the far right proponents (e.g. Grey Wolves and stay behind groups like Ergenekon) of an army-controlled Turkish Republic, "this kind of organized political murder is being concealed ever since the murder of Sabahattin Ali". Some of these were intellectuals proponent of laicism and the strict separation of religion and state, as it is defined on the Constitution of Turkey and also many diplomats who were the victims of militant attacks all around the world.
